Competitive Teams
The Path to the NextLevel Begins Here:
Competitive Dance
Our company and competitive program are designated for students ages 5 through 18 who truly feel that dance is one of their utmost gifts, callings, and passions. Here at Studio 55, we have three levels of our company, Mini, Junior, and Senior. All company members will take classes in ballet, jazz, tap, tumbling, and will have the choice to add hip-hop and contemporary. A class schedule will be sent out at the beginning of the year. Competition dances will be learned in the summer before the season. Rehearsals will be once a week on solo/duo/trios may have extra rehearsals. All company members will perform in the Christmas and Spring recitals and may be asked to perform at special events in Downtown Laurens (ex. Christmas parade, special videos, etc.).
Competitive Gymnastics
Competitive gymnastics is a high-level sport where athletes perform choreographed routines on various apparatuses to demonstrate strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and artistic skill. It is judged based on difficulty, execution, and artistry, with the goal of earning the highest possible score. Our competitive gymnastics program is designated for students ages 5 through 18. Studio 55 competes in AAU at all levels (e.g., Xcel copper, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum). A class schedule will be sent out at the beginning of the year. Competition routines will be learned at the beginning of the year. All gymnastics members will perform in the Christmas and Spring recitals and may be asked to perform at special events in Downtown Laurens (ex. Christmas parade, special videos, etc.).
Competitive Cheer
Competitive cheerleading is a high-energy sport where teams perform choreographed routines that combine elements of gymnastics, stunts, dance, and cheerleading skills. The goal is to impress judges and audiences with precision, creativity, and athleticism while earning the highest possible score based on execution, difficulty, and performance quality. Our competitive cheer program is designated for students ages 4 through 17. Each age group will be split into different teams (Stormy Divas, Lady Twisters). A class schedule will be sent out at the beginning of the year. Competition routines will be learned at the beginning of the year. All cheerleaders will perform in the Christmas and Spring recitals and may be asked to perform at special events in Downtown Laurens (ex. Christmas parade, special videos, etc.).

Costumes
Costumes/leotard price will vary per costume. Payments can be made on these costumes throughout the year. Christmas and Spring costumes are separate but may be reused.
Competition Fees
At Studio 55, we like to attend three competitions with one being a convention. Fees for the season will be discussed in the parent meeting at the beginning of the year. These fees are solely for the competition and have nothing to do with the studio. We like to bring in the best choreographers for our competitive numbers, so those fees will differ and be announced in advance.
Required Attire
All competitive members are required to have their Studio 55 warmup and bookbag. This will be personalized with their name to wear at all events.
